FoMoCo Iron

Comet Framed-2.jpg, originally uploaded by TonyMaiello.

I decided to spend the afternoon looking for parts at the swap meet and taking some snaps of the good, bad and just downright ugly classics.

One of the cleanest cars there was the red Comet you see here. I love these cars. They have classic lines, they're light and go fast. This one was especially sharp. This was a true restoration with some added flavor in the engine, really sounds nice. I have a pic of the entire car to add later.

Springtime, originally uploaded by TonyMaiello.

This was taken during a jaunt to the University of South Florida botanical gardens. I had rented a Canon 70-200 L 2.8 IS to see what it did. Great lens and hard to return.

Clear Blue Skies

We were in Tallahassee with my daughter for her audition with the FSU College of Music. It was early and she was so stressed she had my wife and I stressed as well. In the meantime to calm my nerves I decided to see what I could shots I could
get from the hotel room view. Lets just say... not many.

This one was probably my favorite of the morning.

Bouquet Macro

We recently brought home an assorted bouquet from the local grocery store. I know...not normally the best flowers for photo's. The thing of it is, if I waited for the best flowers to use for a photo...I would not take many flower pics.

I took several and used completely poor technique. For instance,  I was in extremely low light, and any light I did have was blocked by my shadow. I did these hand held with higher ISO than I like to use.

Although soft I find myself rather drawn to this shot. This is framed as I saw it in camera...however, I did tweak contrast, clarity and vibrance in Lightroom.

going downtown

This was taken while i was heading home. I stopped at a traffic light and thought this angle was good. I have to admit I did crop it a bit to clean up some distractions but I think it works.
