I love these cars. They have classic lines, they're light and go fast. This one was especially sharp. This was a true restoration with some added flavor in the engine, really sounds nice. I have a pic of the entire car to add later.
tonymaiellophotographyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10599604054669773271noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2981354558907742707.post-85235004251237423552010-09-07T21:57:00.001-04:002010-09-07T21:57:42.018-04:00Springtime

Springtime, originally uploaded by TonyMaiello.

This was taken during a jaunt to the University of South Florida botanical gardens. We recently brought home an assorted bouquet from the local grocery store. I know...not normally the best flowers for photo's. The thing of it is, if I waited for the best flowers to use for a photo...I would not take many flower pics.

I took several and used completely poor technique. For instance, I was in extremely low light, and any light I did have was blocked by my shadow. I did these hand held with higher ISO than I like to use.

Although soft I find myself rather drawn to this shot. This is framed as I saw it in camera...however, I did tweak contrast, clarity and vibrance in Lightroom.
Between work, family and my general ADHD it has been difficult to even think about posting something.

Any way here are some pics I've done over the last month or two.
I'm trying to figure out some sort of gallery concept using blogger. Not too far on that yet...
We had actually had someone come by and complain that we were there. I could see complaining if we were in the way or disrupting in someway. However, we were no where near anyone and still had complaints. Keep in mind that half that a few of the kids live in the neighborhood where the country club resides and have a right to be there...with guests. It's funny how some people are...we were simply taking photos prior to our children going to the dance.

Anyway, enough complaining. These were really my first attempts at using flash in outdoor portraits.
The photo above was actually a BIG mistake that I actually fell in love with because of the spotlight affect. I was using ETTL.. I know this a big "no no" but oh well. I had been shooting up close to them. When I backed up the meter set this off like i was trying to shoot in the dark. Really, really blown out. I saw this quickly when I chimped so I adjusted and reshot. However, some adjustments brought this into acceptable range...at least for me and totally beat the reshot photo's. Now to only know exactly how to make this happen on purpose...
The first is I want a place to share my images. The second is I'm using this as a reminder to get better with every post.

Will that happen...probably not on every post but it will allow me to compare good to bad and have input as well.

Lets see if it works...tonymaiellophotographyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10599604054669773271noreply@blogger.com0
